Homemade dog food recipe with turkey

Turkey choice

Homemade dog food with turkey

Our dog once loved the taste of chicken. That is exactly what we fed him every time we prepared a meal. For some reason, he suddenly disliked chicken and refused to eat it. We had no idea what to do and wondered where we went wrong. We decided that maybe what he needed was a little variety. So, we came up with a new turkey dog food recipe. Once he tasted it, he went right back to eating poultry again! We love this turkey and rice dog food because not only did he love it, but it is also so easy to make.

Directions

As with all our dishes, we cook the brown rice in a rice cooker. This brings out the full flavor of the rice and makes it really easy to work with. Heat a wok and add one tablespoon of canola oil. Place ground turkey in the wok stir until it is broken up and evenly distributed throughout. Add water, just enough to cover the ground turkey. Bring to a boil over high heat, and then reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the vegetables, and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes. Turn down the heat and add pre made rice. Mix then cool to room temperature. Add multi-vitamins powder. One fish oil capsule for dogs over 5 years of age recommended. This recipe can be refrigerated. This recipe will provide three meals for ten pound dog.
